TENNESSEE teen Dixie Remp got bullied and mocked so badly for her first name — linked to the Confederacy, slavery and the Civil War — she changed it!

Bullied Dixie Remp has chosen a new first name

The 16-year-old ditched Dixie, now goes by the name Skye and is thrilled, noting that her fellow high school students had picked on her unmercifully for her moniker.

“They call me things like ‘Dixie Dust,’ or ‘Dixie Normous,’” she says. “They just give it all sorts of crude meanings, and they’ll call me that in the hallway.”

The Dixie Chicks dropped the word from their name in 2020
