Rewiring the telecom maze with intelligent networks

In today's fast-paced, connected world, network operators in India face an uphill battle. They are tasked with meeting soaring bandwidth demands and the need for seamless connectivity with low latency, always-on, and secure networks. This challenge continues in rural areas, where network operators are asked to bridge connectivity gaps. The pressure is on to push the boundaries of network performance and capacity, all while exploring new and exciting use cases, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Reliance Industries announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to develop India's own foundation large language model. Airtel and Google are working together to accelerate cloud adoption and deploy generative AI solutions. Airtel and Vodafone Idea also introduced AI-powered spam SMS identification solutions.

However, India is a unique market with diverse challenges, including more than the average number of fibre cuts, wide-ranging environmental conditions, and fluctuations in electrical power quality. Even the best network equipment can be hindered by such obstacles.

Predictive intelligence tools can generate early fault alerts, analyse issues, and recommend corrective actions to enhance network reliability. Machine Learning can be used to identify probable causes of deviations in fibre measurements, enabling operators to proactively rectify the issues.

To address these issues, network operators are constantly exploring ways to reduce turnaround time for network deployment, ensure accurate and efficient implementation to avoid repeated corrective actions, and maintain operational efficiency. However, the key question remains: How can they ensure an uninterrupted AI experience despite these persistent challenges?
