Six years later, the Brussels Airport bombing trial starts

Many painful memories revived as the trial of the 10 Laccused in the Brussels terror attack started more than six and a half years after the attacks on Brussels airport and Maelbeek metro station on March 22, 2016.

On a fatal day, two bombs were detonated in the departure hall of Brussels Airport around 8 am; a third bomb was later found unexploded in the same area. Shortly after 9 am, another bomb went off in the Brussels subway station of Maelbeek.

A total of 32 people were killed and over 340 others injured in the rush-hour bombings at Brussels' airport and on the city's metro system. Survivors of the Brussels suicide attacks seek closure for Belgium's worst peacetime atrocity. The stories of the victims and survivors are heart touching and many don't want their loved ones in the attack to be just remembered as another victim.
