Has Google Finally Made The iPhone of Android?

CRACKING the smartphone market is no easy feat. Only two companies, Apple and Samsung, have truly mastered it. The smartphone wave has consumed former giants like Nokia, HTC, and Sonytitans of a bygone era. Even Google, despite its relentless efforts over nearly a decade and a half with the Nexus line and then the Pixel brand, has only managed to carve out a small slice ofthe market. This includes its costly acquisition of Motorola's mobile division for intellectual property and HTC for its hardware prowess. Yet, after nine generations, Google appears closer than ever to achieving what many are calling the "iPhone of Android."

Pixel 9$9 Pro XL

Google's latest releases, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL, are impeccably crafted.

Their design echoes the sleek minimalism of the iPhone, while also incorporating a distinctive feature: the signature camera bar, often referred to as the visor, which Google says is inspired by its search bar. While flat screens have been a feature of Pixel phones since last year, these new models truly embrace this design language with squaredoff edges reminiscent of the iPhone-a trend that Samsung and Xiaomi have also adopted.
