LIGHTS OUT

The opening round of MotoGP is always a special affair. This year, however, it was a bit more special than usual, for the start of this season was characterised by some big (preseason) shake-ups. So, how did it all unfold in the first round? Let’s find out…

BAGNAIA AND DUCATI ARE STILL NO. 1

Reigning world champion Pecco Bagnaia is still the man to beat in 2024. While he didn’t quite grab the attention during the qualifying (P5) or sprint race(P4), he exhibited his mettle on Sunday, securing his first grand prix win of the season and earning the most points for the weekend. With this victory, Pecco leads the championship, and given his performance and that of his GP24, it seems that this duo will be the championship favourite this year as well.
