Hastings Deering's machinery demonstration site in Brisbane is proving popular with prospective buyers wanting to put various Cat® equipment models through their paces.

Testing times prove popular

The newly-opened facility at Hastings Deering's site at Acacia Ridge enables operators to test the latest CatⓇ machinery and gain hands-on experience with new technologies.

The demo site offers a controlled environment for trying out equipment from excavators to compact track loaders, emphasising safety and optimal use in various applications.

This initiative is part of Hastings Deering's Smart Iron Training program, which showcases Caterpillar's advancements in construction and mining machinery, aimed at increasing operational knowledge and skills across the region.

It also serves as a training ground, allowing operators, technicians, and customers to familiarise themselves with Caterpillar's cuttingedge features and digital tools like Vision Link, designed to support real-time data collection and equipment monitoring.

As Hastings Deering Construction Industries Business Solutions Manager Rich Guiver explains, customers can now sit in and get a feel for the machines in a safe environment before purchasing.

"Safety is of great importance and this demo area gives our customer the opportunity to test their machines in a safe, controlled environment," he said.
