INDIAN OCEAN MEANDERING WITH A CREW OF GOOD BLOKES

- Luke Hynd

The Tranquility Of The Blue Abyss

A boat trip through a tropical archipelago is still the best surf trip/ vacation money can buy. Nothing can beat it. A bunch of like-minded humans together for ten days staying on a floating pub, sailing around a tropical paradise doing what we all love the most. It's detoxification from our phone addictions and the stress of everyday life. The best kind of Groundhog Day with pumping waves, eating as much as you want, fishing and good old fashioned storytelling fuelled with unlimited beer.

Thrown together for this particular trip was the most diverse and legendary assembly of humans, I'veI've had the pleasure of getting to know. Although many of us met for the first time at the airport, everyone got along like a house on fire. The team living and breathing together for 10 days included one of my biggest inspirations and arguably the most talented surfer alive Chippa Wilson, style icon and worldly woke human Asher Pacey, the hysterical human, and underground shredder Billy Kean, the skate styled New York City native Balaram Stack, high-performance powerhouse and larrikin Parker Coffin, up and coming ripper Toby Mossop, the hilarious and ultra passionate photographer Swilly, intellectual adventurer and brilliant cinematographer Beren Hall, and last but not least our surf guide and well-versed raconteur Lew. So many unique personalities from so many different walks of life brought together by a shared love for the ocean and talent on a surfboard.

Mr Smith

THE GENIAL ED SMITH IS ONE OF THOSE SURFERS THAT HAS A TON OF ABILITY AND TOYED WITH THE COMP SCENE BUT SOON REALISED A REAL TRADE AND SURFING FOR HIMSELF WAS A WISER OPTION. WE BUMPED INTO HIM ON OUR MISSION TO SCOTLAND, AND HE WAS KILLING IT EVERY SESSION. SUPER STYLISH, ALWAYS DEEP, A PLEASURE TO SHOOT. HE 'S A GOOD BLOKE TO GO FOR A PINT WITH TOO.
