TOLCARNE TAILSPINS IN THE LAST COMP FOR A WHILE . . . MAYBE
If you asked me to describe the vibe at the recent English comp, it would be ‘confused but positive’. Taking place as it did just before the social distancing thing came in and the whole nation decided that bog roll and pasta were worth more than gold. Big league crew like Luke Dillon, Peony Knight, Lucy Campbell and Ellie Turner were fresh home from contests abroad and not long after the WSL postponed the tour until the crisis is over. Strange times for all of us.

The contest was moved to Tolcarne as the swell was a bit wild and woolly at Fistral. It was a good shout as the bay is an excellent place for a comp not just because you can watch from the terrace of the Colonial with a cold beverage.

Mr Smith
THE GENIAL ED SMITH IS ONE OF THOSE SURFERS THAT HAS A TON OF ABILITY AND TOYED WITH THE COMP SCENE BUT SOON REALISED A REAL TRADE AND SURFING FOR HIMSELF WAS A WISER OPTION. WE BUMPED INTO HIM ON OUR MISSION TO SCOTLAND, AND HE WAS KILLING IT EVERY SESSION. SUPER STYLISH, ALWAYS DEEP, A PLEASURE TO SHOOT. HE 'S A GOOD BLOKE TO GO FOR A PINT WITH TOO.
