The feeling of being stressed can be triggered by an event that makes you feel frustrated or nervous. Stress and anxiety are not always bad. In the short term, they can help you overcome a challenge or dangerous situation. Examples of everyday stress and anxiety include worrying about finding a job, feeling nervous before a big test, or being embarrassed in certain social situations. Anxiety can present with both physical and psychological symptoms. It is important to identify the symptoms of anxiety as many times people confuse symptoms of anxiety with physical problems. The symptoms of anxiety disorder include physical symptoms like palpitation, sweating and cold extremities. These anxiety symptoms are seen in anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, OCD etc. In cases of panic attacks, a severe form of anxiety symptoms in present. The treatment of anxiety disorders and treatment of anxiety symptoms is many a times guided by the predominant anxiety symptoms. The treatment may include use of medications, or counseling sessions. Sometimes meditation for anxiety symptoms is useful sometimes not.
