Harrison Gifts Bath Their Final Moment
TEIMANA Harrison’s night of celebration turned into one of ignominy as his moment of madness ruined Saints’ chances of appearing in their first Anglo-Welsh final since winning the competition in 2010.
Harrison led out Northampton to celebrate his 100th appearance for the club, but with 13 minutes remaining and his side leading 12-10, he headbutted Bath’s Nathan Catt and was sent off.
Josh Lewis held his nerve to kick the resulting penalty and, after eleven fruitless years since the competition began in 2005, Bath made it to their first final at Kingsholm next Sunday.
Bath first-team coach Toby Booth said: “There was nothing really malicious in the sending off and I feel sorry for him as he’s a good lad but you’ve got to be very careful not to get too close to people.
