INCREDIBLE PERFORMER HARSHVARDHAN RANE

Although Harshvardhan Rane is only a decade old in the film industry, he has managed to earn a massive fan following across the nation. How did Taish happen to you?

Bejoy sir and I were supposed to work on a film called Fitrat, which was supposed to be a remake of Agni Natchathiram in 2016. Vicky Kaushal and I were supposed to be part of the project. Then Dhanush sir came in the picture, he and I were to play half-brothers in the film. There were some issues regarding the rights and the film got stalled. I was heartbroken because I was really looking forward to working with him. We kept in touch and when he discussed Taish with me, I instantly fell in love with my character Pali. It reminded me of my late father, a gentle, warm and kind man, but he was also known for his rage. I thought it’s a great opportunity to touch those emotions. Rage is not an everyday emotion and it’s a build-up of many incidents. While prepping for the role, I got in touch with a lot of psychologists to understand the root cause of rage and to understand the psychology of the person. Initially, I was a little uncomfortable while touching upon the emotions, but I gave my 100% to it because I believed in Bejoy sir’s vision.
