Feeding For Late Summer/Early Autumn

Regardless of the age of your hens, the most important aspect of feeding is to provide an appropriately balanced diet all year round. As well as water, hens have a basic requirement for all the dietary components, namely; fibre, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals, all of which will be supplied from a good quality layers feed that has been formulated to meet the specific nutritional need of laying hens. Providing a balanced diet is fed, a hens’ nutritional needs will not change significantly throughout the year.
