• Lion Brand Twisted Cotton Blend bulky (chunky) weight cotton/ acrylic yarn (31/2oz/98 yds/100g per cake): 5 cakes #765-209 tan/ecru

• Size J/10/6mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

• Tapestry needle

Main pattern: 12 sts = 4 inches; 8 rows = 4 inches

PATTERN NOTES

The bottom of the tote needs to be firmer. Hold 2 strands of yarn together and using the same size hook as for working with 1 strand to make much firmer and stiffer bottom.

The first round of body part is worked through back loop only.

Joined and turned rounds: Join rounds with slip stitch, turn the work to start working next round.

For the bottom of the tote, work in flat rounds and do not turn after join.

Worked across even number of sts.

Row 1 (RS): Ch 1, sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across, turn.

Row 2 (WS): Ch 1, sc in first dc, dc in next sc, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across, turn.
