There’s a very British flavour to long-running animation The Simpsons when Homer and the residents of Springfield return for a 32nd season on Sky One this week.

The new series is set to star Olivia Colman, Stephen Fry and Sir Michael Palin as guest voices on the much-loved show.

‘In dark times, you really need comedy, and it was lovely to be asked,’ explains Palin, who appears in next week’s episode as a museum curator who intervenes to stop Homer and Marge squabbling during a trip to see an exhibition about Ancient Rome.
