A noisy city teeming with people and traffic might not seem a promising location for a wildlife documentary. But as one-off natural-history programme Wild London reveals, a surprising number of species are not just surviving but thriving on, around and above the streets of London.

Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the film features remarkable footage of wildlife living in the city, from a herd of fallow deer dodging traffic to a harvest mouse being released back into the wild.
