You know your newly released multiplayer game isn’t getting off to the best of starts when the Belgian government’s gambling authority wants it banned. And in fact, that probably wasn’t even the worst thing about Star Wars: Battlefront II’s release. The damnation it received in the court of public opinion for an ill-judged and grindy loot box system seemed irreversible by the close of 2017.
