Lian Li PC-O11-Dynamic Mini

The prodigy has been downsized

AFTER THE SUCCESS of the O11-Dynamic, Lian Li is back with their little brother. The PC-O11-Dynamic Mini brings a scaled-down version of the hugely popular case to the market. It’s for those looking for something smaller, and it won’t come as a surprise, given the popularity of the original O11-Dynamic, that the O11Dynamic Mini has flown off the shelves.
Lian Li seems to have taken the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach, and rightly so, keeping it simple and literally scaling down the original to create a wondrous little case. There are some differences—there’s no ATX power supply support here; instead, it relies on SFX units to help it lose some weight—but the overall look and feel of the Mini are still very Lian Li. Brushed aluminum, acrylic, and tempered glass adorn the front, side, and top of the case, with the familiar procedure of removing first the top and then the side panels needed for installing a system.
The I/O has moved from the front to the top of the chassis, and the diet has also included switching to a single microphone/headphone combo jack; these are subtle changes that don’t really detract from the overall feel of the case. The feet have also shrunk, with smaller corner units instead of full-length boots, as seen on its older sibling. The dust filters are functional, but the implementation of the bottom one could be better. While the top and side filters are magnetic, the bottom filter is removed by using a handle that protrudes from under the glass side panel, distracting you from looking at what’s important. It’s a minor bugbear, though, and certainly not a dealbreaker—if anything, it reminds you to clean your rig more often.

WE ALL KNEW what was coming at CES: a bunch of graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia. They were pretty much exactly as predicted, albeit with some surprises. AMD managed to botch the launch of its RDNA 4 cards, while Nvidia played 3D chess with the pricing of its new RTX 50 cards.
