Guru Nanak was the founder of Sikhism.
He was also the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. Nanak was born on April 15th, 1469, in Rai Bhoiki Talvandi near Lahore in a Hindu family. His father Mehta Kalu was a merchant and accountant in the village. Nanak was very close to his elder sister Nanki.
