Tabulae Iliacae refers to a series of 22 marble relief tablets that were found in Rome, each with scenes that depict events related to the Trojan War.

Not one is completely intact, but each is an interesting source of information on ancient literature and society. The tablets were made in one or two workshops in Rome during the first century C.E. The reliefs show several panels, sometimes grouped around a larger central panel, that are filled with reliefs of events. One such event is the Tabula Capitolina (below), the most complete tablet uncovered. Above the column (to the right of the middle), Thetis is seen begging Zeus for help.
