The V-Class is a surprisingly luxurious people mover with all the trappings you’d associate with the three-pointed star
USUALLY OUR REVIEWS try and draw parallels to something that is easily relatable so that you, our readers, get an idea about the kind of vehicle we have our hands on. But things are markedly different this time. We have no parallels to draw on and no competitors to refer to. Because the car we have with us is so different and so unique that there really are very few similarities with what we have driven and experienced so far. In fact, you cannot even call the V-Class a car, and Mercedes themselves are being very upfront about this being an MPV. This review will, unlike most of our tests, start at the back seat. A gentle tug at the door handles is all it takes for the doors to slide open and reveal a cabin that is nothing short of spectacular.

Actually it would be sacrilege for me to review something as massive on my own. That would be selfish. It would also be breathtakingly stupid to drive it to Lavasa and tell you how it goes round corners. Like, really? And so I woke up early in the morning, hit the expressway to Mumbai and collected a bunch of my friends for the drive back to Pune for a sundowner at another friend’s farmhouse. That’s what a V-Class will be used for, right? To pile in family or friends and either head to the airport or a getaway.
