Salone is Back

As the world's favourite furniture fair returns after a two-year pause, AD catches up with Maria Porro, president of Salone, on what to expect this year.

Finally. We deserve it. We need it. We missed it," is the sentiment that's been heard across Milan for the past few weeks. After a two-year hiatus-apart from the "slim" version last year, renamed "Supersalone"-Salone del Mobile returns to the city with its 60th edition from 7 to 12 June at Fiera Milano, Rho. The city awaits Salone with the same excited trepidation of the first embrace, the first meal at a restaurant, or the first night out with friends after long months of lockdown. As the design fair preps to return to Milan, it brings with itself the promise of a fresh and powerful reset.
