CONVINCING wins in the advanced medium 92 and freestyle meant more than usual to Keri Bates, whose partnership with Christianslund Gevalia has been tested lately.
“I was recently diagnosed with a rare eye condition, caused by a virus,” explained Keri, who recorded a personal best of 79.67% with “G” in the freestyle. “I woke up with permanent blind spots in my vision that affect my balance, so I’ve had to adjust the way I ride. G has been so good — she doesn’t let you sit back and have an easy ride, but I trust her.”
Keri bought the De Noir daughter three years ago.
