Kalachuvadu May 2024 issue
The issue carries two editorials. One is on the custodial deaths in Tamil Nadu. The editorial looks deep into the issue of custodial deaths and tortures. The second editorial highlights the importance of some of the progressive announcements made in the election manifesto of the Congress party.
Stalin Rajangam has written about the social and political importance of boycotting the elections by a set of people in TN.
The issue has carried three articles as tribute to Ayurvedic Doctor L. Mahadevan who had recently passed away. Siddha Doctor G. Sivaraman, Kalachuvadu Editor Kannan, and Ayurvedic Doctor Suneel Krishnan have written these articles.
The literary section has 17 poems by 9 women poets. It also carries two short stories by Kalanthai Peer Mohamad and Senkathir. The interview of writer N. Sriram has been carried in the issue.
Writer cum filmmaker Amshan Kumar has written about A.C. Tarcicius, a theatre personality from Sri Lanka.

Kalachuvadu is an international monthly journal for politics and culture. Published since 1988, it was founded by the noted Tamil writer Sundara Ramaswamy (1931-2005). Kalachuvadu was published first as a quarterly then a bi-monthly and has been a monthly since 2004.
