Renowned historian and writer Ramachandra Guha’s extensive interview has been featured as a cover story. This is the first time that a Tamil magazine carries his elaborate interview. The issue has two editorials. One is on the lack of government action on the commission report on Tutukkudi firing that took place a few years ago. The second editorial speaks about the police action against selling a couple of books in a book fair. Two articles have been carried on Nanguneri violence against Dalit students. The article analysis the socio political factors behind such actions and reactions. A new story of veteran writer G. Alagirisamy has been found and published in this issue. Aravindan’s story on a sports person has also been published. The issue has also carried Clarice Lispector’s story. Obituaries of Kathar and Pulavar Irasu have been published. Column by Pazha Athiyaman deals with a hitherto unknown incident in Vaikkam Struggle.
