Welcome to our island home. The torrential rains have abated but you may encounter a few showers due to the south west monsoon being active. However you may enjoy the sun peeping through, to make you happy! The East coast will be better and Amaya beach at Pasikuda facing bluest of blue waters invites you to sample their hospitality.

Sri Lanka has a rich history and culture you may glimpse through these pages. Rideevehera is a beautifully unique Buddhist shrine and the visitor will be surprised by the paved tiles on the flower alter depicting incidents from Jesus Christ’s life.

The Replica Centre on the way to hill cradled Kandy is worth a stop as you may view near identical replicas, understandably in smaller sizes, you may purchase as souvenirs. A romantic tale unfolds in Valmiki’s Hindu religious epic ‘Ramayana” linking the island’s most beautiful spots where Ravana kept lovely Sita in hiding.

A delightful break to nature awaits at Kumana National Park, East of Yala, famous for bird life. At twilight time head for picturesque Mt. Lavinia beach and Shore by O to have some wholesome fun to keep your spirits up. Colombo’s Fort Clock Tower and its similarity with ‘Big Ben’ in London is an interesting read.
