From its roots as a seasonal escape, Bodrum has grown into an year-round destination where keeping a hand on the pulse of new projects is now a full-time task. Unlike a few years ago when new openings used to mark the beginning of the summer season, they now appear in winter to test the local market and gain the trust of those who reside in the area.

Although each one of them is distinctive on its own terms, they captivate the collective attention and overall interest in the new.

Bodrum is expecting heavy crowds this season, and hotels started filling up as early as the first week of April with visitors from around the world. This gave us the opportunity to share a variety of interests that are reflected in the pages of this issue.

It’s hard to believe that this issue of The Guide Bodrum marks our 25th season among bougainvillea trees and historic stone houses. The town itself, as well as the entire peninsula, has changed so considerably in the past two decades that with every new magazine release it seems like we’re traveling to a completely different place.

In this years edition of the The Guide Bodrum we blend the nostalgic past with the booming present of the getaway town. Giving the reader a full guide to the art of mezze, exploring Bodrum’s past through film, giving tips on essentials such as how to up the game of your Instagram, what books to read this summer while lazing by the sea, and of course all the new shops and restaurants to check out. The whole magazine doesn’t revolve around Bodrum though, we also journeyed over to Halkidhiki and came back with an extremely helpful guide for you to use when there.
