'My gran taught me everything about living'

My gran, Marjorie Smith, was Yorkshire born and bred, and she was a legend. She lived in a terraced house not far from Rowntree's chocolate factory - now Nestlé - and everything about that house is etched in my memory. My grandad was a cricketer, before working on the railways, then he became a groundsman - he was a proper grafter.
