Looking for: Yellow jersey and a fistful of stages

UAE TEAM EMIRATES-XRG

UAE Team Emirates-XRG have cemented their place as the number one UCI team, topping the rankings for the last two years, and winning by a landslide in 2024. A big wedge of that is thanks to their talisman, Tadej Pogačar, who was responsible for 25 wins last season - including two Grand Tours and a world title.

The Slovenian can't take all the credit, though. His victories contributed to a whopping tally of 81 for the whole team, meaning more than two thirds of the glory came from other riders. Among them were Adam Yates, João Almeida, Pavel Sivakov and Marc Soler, all of whom go to the Tour as super domestiques for Pogačar.

imageThe team's sports director, Joxean Fernández Matxin, said earlier this year that he wants to maintain a "victorious collective" within the squad: “We count on Tadej and we build on that, but we are also interested in having a team which is competitive on all fronts.”
