Home joy for Hanley after Crewe victory

NEWLY-PROMOTED FC Hanley picked up a 3-1 home victory over AFC Crewe in their Premier Division meeting.

The first half proved to be fairly even, but the complex of the game changed five minutes after the interval.

Hanley striker Theo Stair, pictured, was fouled by Crewe keeper Alex Atton - who was sent off - after receiving treatment.

The resulting free-kick sailed high and wide of the target.

FC Hanley finally made the extra man pdvantage pay off when Nathan Jones opened the scoring on 63 minutes with a fine shot which evaded the stand-in keeper.

But from that moment AFC Crewe began to look more in control with Ben Hewitt causing the Hanley backline all sorts of problems.
