Grit and determination are key to Potters' home win...

BACK TO IT: Mark Robins was pleased to see his Stoke City side return to winning ways with victory over Swansea City.

BEN PEARSON JOINS THE PARTY Ben Pearson has only had one shot this season and two shots, including that one, since he returned from injury in the second half of last season.

But what a sweet strike from the midfielder, who can be influential in this team when he’s fit and firing. He can read the game well to instinctively be in the right positions to nip counterattacks in the bud or keep the opposition pinned back - and this was an unexpected bonus. He has always laughed off any talk about his goal record and shown no desire to get himself in the headlines - but who knows how long he has been practising that goal celebration. It was part Peter Crouch part Craig Revel Horwood. We're looking forward to his next routine.
