Three-part documentary reveals iconic concert’s challenges weren’t over after the final encore.

July 13 will mark the 40th anniversary of one of the biggest and most influential concerts in rock history - Live Aid, which was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for famine relief efforts in Ethiopia.

There had been charity gigs before, but nothing on the sheer scale of Live Aid. As well as taking place in two different venues on opposite sides of the Atlantic (Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia), the event was beamed around the world to an estimated TV audience of nearly two billion people in over 100 countries.

However, while the event was undoubtedly a massive achievement, its legacy hasn't been without controversy.
