'Everyone has a part to play'

PHIL Sproson has predicted that Darren Moore will continue to rotate his Port Vale squad in the early part of the League One season.

The Valiants legend, speaking on BBC Radio Stoke, believes that the number of games coming up dictates that is what Moore will do to make sure everyone keeps up to speed.

On the subject of rotation, Sproson, pictured below, said: “I think Darren Moore as a manager likes to do that.

“He has said towards the back end of last season he really settled on what he thought was probably his strongest XI when they were fit to play. I think you might find that the same thing happens. It’s right. There’s so many games coming thick and fast these next two months the entire squad will be utilised and that is why he strengthened in various positions.
