A MAJOR new plan to tackle road repairs across Staffordshire has been launched by the county council.

The new 'Roadmap to a Better Network' aims to tackle 'decades of decline in the county's roads and highways'.

It sets out how the council will fix more roads, protect vital bridges, and cut the repair backlog, all while aiming to deliver better value for money and pushing for fairer funding from the government.

The roadmap includes four key themes:
