Print is not a dying medium. The internet has simply given it new places to live.

Mona Magno-Veluz, better known on TikTok as Mighty Magulang, made this point at The Philippine STAR's 39th anniversary celebration. Picking up where Editor-in-Chief Ana Marie Pamintuan left off, she bridged the conversation between tradition and transformation.

"I am a former corporate slave, a disability rights advocate, and a feminist," she began. "Klaro lang, hindi po ako journalist. I am a content creator and unlike many, I know the difference."

Her battlefield is online, but the mission is the same: to inform, connect, and make an impact. She believes the pursuit of truth doesn't end on printed paper.

"Digital is not the enemy," she said. "It's a platform to repurpose legacy materials in modern formats. Your archives, your voices, your headlines can live again in new ways."
