No Pinoy deportation to 3rd country from US — envoy

The Philippines will not allow the deportation to a third country of Filipinos facing legal issues or illegally staying in the United States, Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said here yesterday.
In an interview with Filipino and Japanese journalists attending a US Department of State program, Romualdez said the Philippines has communicated with the US government to be informed immediately about Filipinos who will be deported.
President Donald Trump has vowed to oversee the largest deportation program in the US.
The Trump administration asked the US Supreme Court to intervene in its effort to rapidly deport migrants to countries other than their own without May of 2028 whether it pushed through or not. We found a way to do it," he added.
