The curious case of Malabari Muslims embarrassed visiting Indian Parliamentarians by cheering Modi-hater Shahid Afridi in Dubai

Congress leader Salman Khurshid has asked Pakistan to end terrorism.

CPM’s Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas also voiced the same thought. Khurshid is Muslim and Brittas is Christian. Brittas stressed the point that he’s a Kerala Christian and that there are Christians and Hindus along with lots and lots of Muslims in Kerala. So, don’t think the entire Kerala citizenry is Muslim as some people have been going hammer & tongs on Social Media.
This after ‘Malabari expats’ from Kerala went gaga over Pakistani cricketer ‘Boom-Boom Shahid Afridi, who is some sort of ‘Idol’ to the Gulf Malabari, whose taste buds for ‘Sulemani chai’ is of note next only to the now extinct ‘Modi Chai’.
Shahid Afridi hates Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ‘Modi Chai’ as well. And Afridi couldn't stop himself from casting aspersions on Prime Minister Modi when terrorists from Pakistan shot dead 26 men after ascertaining they were Hindu. If there was a sneaking feeling that Afridi was quite okay with “hindu killings”, the thought isn’t lost on Shahid Afridi.
So, here's the bottomline: Salman Khurshid is an ‘Indian Muslim’ head to toe and in the heart as well. Afridi on the other hand is ‘Pakistani Muslim’ and there’s a difference. The Pakistani Muslim is loyal to Pakistan. Not all of the Indian Muslims, though. There are some who, given a chance, and the right conscience, would sell ‘India that is Bharat’ down the river Ganga.
