Shrine Board organizes drawing competition to commemorate Environment Day

In a vibrant celebration of World Environment Day, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) organized a drawing and sketching competition at its high-tech nursery in village Kunya, Panthal, near Katra.
The event revolved around the theme "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally" and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of classes 1 to 12 from schools in and around the Katra region.
Held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the competition aimed to foster environmental consciousness among children and promote creative thinking around plastic pollution and sustainable living. Young artists presented powerful visual messages through their artwork, underscoring the urgent need to reduce plastic usage and adopt eco-friendly practices.
