DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR TWO WEEKS FOR CREATIVE TALENT
THE search continues to find the next Young City Laureate to be the voice of Plymouth’s youth with the deadline for applications extended for another two weeks.
Creative writing charity Literature Works, in partnership with Plymouth Culture, began its search in February for a poet to follow current young laureate Frankie Baldry, whose term comes to an end in September.
Submissions were due to close on June 30, but Literature Works has now extended the callout until midnight on Sunday, July 20.
It is appealing to the city’s talented young writers between the ages of 14 and 19 years to put themselves forward.
A Literature Works spokesperson said: “We have extended the callout for applications to be the next Plymouth Young City Laureate.
“This is a brilliant opportunity for aspiring young writers between the ages of 14 to 19 years to develop as a writer and act as a voice for the young people of Plymouth.”
