Passion won't be enough ...Boro need goals!

David Strelec, Kaly Sene and Tommy Conway have just five goals between them so far this season, while former Boro striker Finn Azaz has been knocking them in for Southampton

It starts on the pitch, bubbles over in the stands and doubles in strength when it returns to the pitch.

But can Boro win promotion based on passion alone? Can Kim Hellberg maintain this incredible high level of commitment for the remainder of the season?

Here we are, at the beginning of December, and Boro have a forward line which is still failing to function properly.

The three orthodox strikers, Tommy Conway, David Strelec and Kaly Sene, have scored a mere five goals between them.

Yet almost every other Championship club has at least one player who has scored five or more.

Compare this to the same stage last season when Boro's front three had scored a whopping 21 goals between them.

It sounds unbelievable, but it's true. Conway had eight, Emmanuel Latte Lath seven and Finn Azaz seven.
