Fire-hit families get aid from DSWD, LGU

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office (FO) 7-Central Visayas continues to coordinate with the local government unit (LGU) of Lapu-Lapu City for any assistance that it can extend to the families that were affected by two fire incidents in Barangays Canjulao and Basak on Friday.

“The DSWD7 maintains its close coordination with concerned offices in the city to gather further information about the two incidents,” Central Visayas Regional Director Shalaine Marie Lucero reported to Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe of the Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG).
