Mandaue City Hall employees here are set to receive a P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) by January 2026, a city council official confirmed.
City Councilor Atty. Joel Seno, chair of the Committee on Appropriations, Budget and Finance, said the initial plan was to release the PEI alongside the P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI).
“Supposedly, the total incentive would have reached P25,000. However, at the time we passed the SRI ordinance, there were still no guidelines yet for the PEI because it had not been signed,” Seno said in an interview on Thursday, December 19, 2025.
Seno explained that the PEI was not included in Administrative Orders (AOs) Nos. 39 and 40 issued by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., prompting the council to withhold its release.
