Archival wants acquisition of heavy equipment hasten

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival has urged concerned departments to immediately acquire heavy equipment to improve disaster preparedness in landslide-prone barangays across the city.

Archival said he has requested the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the City Treasurer's Office to fast-track the procurement of equipment that can be pre-positioned in both the northern and southern districts of the city.

"Usa sa akong gi-request gyud sa atong City Disaster ug sa CTO nga makuha ug mapalit na unta ang set of equipment nga naa mabutang nato sa north area ug naay mabutang nato nga set of equipment ngadto sad sa south," the mayor said.
