PCMC to set up seven astronomy labs

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will establish seven state-of-the-art astronomy laboratories in its civic schools to promote science education and spark students’ curiosity about space, officials announced on Monday.
This marks the first phase of the initiative, which will later include more advanced labs across additional schools. Seven PCMC-run schools have been selected for the pilot phase, with each laboratory to cost around Rs36 lakh. The total estimated expenditure for this phase stands at about Rs2.5 crore.
