Visitors explore replica Spanish galleon during Penzance visit

A REPLICA of a Spanish galleon has docked in Penzance to offer visitors a glimpse into maritime history.
The Galeón Andalucía was tied up in the harbour from Thursday to Sunday, June 26 to 29, and open to the public, who came aboard to explore its decks and learn about these legendary Spanish ships.
She is a recreation of the ships which between the 16th and 18th centuries departed from ports in Andalusia to sail the Atlantic, explore the Caribbean and the coast of America coasts and cross the Pacific, carrying the commerce and extending the boundaries of the Spanish empire.
