CARLOS CUELLAR says foreign players think they know how huge a club Rangers are from afar.

GERS ARE SO MUCH BIGGER

But the Spaniard is adamant that it's only once you play for them that you realise they're 100 times bigger.

The 43-year-old, who is now retired and coaching Real Murcia's B team, only spent one season at Ibrox.

In 2007/08 he was an integral part of Walter Smith's side who won the League Cup, Scottish Cup and reached the UEFA Cup Final in Manchester.

Cuellar was Scotland's Player of the Year and earned a £9million move to Premier League side Aston Villa after just 12 months at Ibrox.

But he wishes he'd have been at Rangers for a longer period of time.

He has revealed the club still have a special place in his heart and one day he'd love to return to Ibrox as a coach.

Cuellar was convinced he knew how big Gers were when he joined.

But after pulling on the blue shirt for just one campaign - the stature of the club left an indelible mark on him.
