Delinquency is a stain on the game

THERE was one saving grace from the weekend that shamed the game.

It was that police were assisted in their enquiries, leading to the arrest of the alleged assailant who felled Aberdeen's Jack MacKenzie with a seat thrown from the away end at Tannadice.

Silence would have made those in the vicinity complicit - and that really would have been scraping the barrel in terms of common decency.

The matchday experience in Scottish football has now been defaced by delinquency.
