Joy for Jones as Beddau continue excellent start

Scrumhalf Lewis Jones was at the double with fly-half Ollie Wilde and fullback Cody Baker -on his 150th appearance - also on the scoresheet for last season’s Championship East winners at Mount Pleasant Park.

Wilde converted three of their four tries in this bonus-point victory.

Along with Baker, lock and skipper Lloyd Evans was also celebrating his milestone 150th appearance for the Green and Golds.

Beddau are level on 14 points with Pontypridd, who are also three from three after they ran out 27-19 victors at Llangennech.

Flanker Iestyn Harris, wing Joe Davies and a try on debut for replacement hooker Louis Tovey were the Ponty scorers.

Jaydan Pugh kicked two conversions and a penalty, while Rhod Smith and Dale Stuckey kicked a conversion and a penaity respectively.
