'Innovator' Sibu earns national honour for leadership in care sector

A MERTHYR Tydfil mum who put her nursing ambitions aside to raise her children has been honoured with a national award for her outstanding leadership in the care sector.

Sibusisiwe (Sibu) Lovis, founder of Live Well Healthcare, received the Silver Award for Leadership and Management in Small Group or Supported Living at the 2025 Wales Care Awards.

The prestigious ceremony, organised by Care Forum Wales and sponsored by Meddyg Care, took place at Cardiff's Holland House Hotel and celebrated the dedication of professionals across the health and social care sector.

Sibu founded Swansea-based Live Well Healthcare in 2017 after choosing to focus on family life instead of pursuing nursing.
