How journalists are portrayed in the media has changed considerably over the past few years.

Once upon a time, hacks would jostle for position in the street or harass the unsuspecting public on their doorsteps, intent on landing themselves a scoop.

Most were men in big overcoats and trilbies, clutching their notebooks and tiny tape recorders while chasing ambulances down the street.

Thankfully this outdated stereotype has made way for an altogether different one; and just as I've never met a journo in a trilby in real life, there aren't many who work in offices like the ones in The Woman in Cabin 10 either.

There, hotshot reporter Laura Blackstock (Kiera Knightly) swans around with her super-slim laptop and beautifully tailored trousers, looking for her next big story.

After witnessing a harrowing murder on a recent assignment, Laura is keen for her next project to be a little less taxing.

Her eye is caught - as it would be - by an invitation in her inbox to spend a week on a massive private yacht with a party of rich folk and celebrities, as the guest of multimillionaire Richard Bullmer (Guy Pearce).
