Late stragglers on blackberry canes are best picked on a dry day. Choose fully black, glossy fruits, then rinse and pat dry. Open-freeze in a single layer on trays before bagging and labelling. Use within six months. After harvest, remove fruited canes to the base and tie in this year's new growth.
